Inter Milan will host Fiorentina on Sunday evening at a reportedly sold-out San Siro.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via FcInterNews), all tickets for this weekend’s clash have already been sold a few days prior to the contest.

The Nerazzurri have started their Serie A campaign on the right foot. They beat Monza at home in the opening round before breezing past Cagliari in Sardinia last Monday. Both matches ended in 2-0 results.

Therefore, the clash against Fiorentina could be the first stern test of the season for Simone Inzaghi’s men.

Inter Milan And Fiorentina Will Clash Heads At A Sold-Out San Siro This Sunday

The two sides last met in last season’s Coppa Italia final in Rome. The Nerazzurri turned the result upside-down to secure a hard-fought 2-1 victory thanks to a brace from Lautaro Martinez.

So it appears that the club’s faithful have recognized the significance of the encounter against the Tuscans, flocking to the box office to secure their tickets.

This will also be Inter’s last encounter before the first Derby della Madonnina of the season. The Beneamata will “host” their crosstown rivals AC Milan on September 16 right after the upcoming international break.

Thus, beating Fiorentina will be an important step to maintain the squad’s morale ahead of the big Derby, and Inzaghi’s men will be able to rely on a full house this weekend.
