Both defender Benjamin Pavard and midfielder Davy Klaassen will receive their first Inter Milan call-ups against Fiorentina tomorrow.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the pair of new signings will both be in the Nerazzurri’s squad for tomorrow evening’s Serie A clash with La Viola.
Inter have had a busy end to the summer transfer window.
In the less than a week that has passed since the Nerazzurri faced Cagliari away, they have added two players to their squad.
Defender Benjamin Pavard arrived from Bayern Munich on Wednesday. Inter have finally signed a real like-for-like replacement for Milan Skriniar in the form of the 2018 World Cup winner and former Stuttgart defender.
And Pavard wasn’t Inter’s final signing of the transfer window either.
After wrapping up a deal for the Frenchman, the Nerazzurri also bolstered their midfield.
Midfielder Davy Klaasen came in on a free transfer from Ajax.
Benjamin Pavard & Davy Klaassen Will Both Be On Bench For Inter Vs Fiorentina
According to the Gazzetta, Pavard and Klaassen will waste no time in becoming part of the Inter squad.
Both of the pair are already in training. And in both cases, they will already get their first taste of a Nerazzurri matchday squad less than a week after joining.
Naturally, neither of Pavard nor Klaassen will be quite ready to start tomorrow.
In the case of the Frenchman, he will be on the bench with Matteo Darmian continuing to take up his now-customary spot on the right side of Inter’s back three.
But there is every chance that the 27-year-old can make his San Siro debut.
Pavard could at least come off the bench against Fiorentina.
Meanwhile, the Gazzetta reports, Davy Klaassen will also be part of Inter’s squad, just two days after joining.
