Defender Benjamin Pavard has made his decision regarding the shirt number that he’ll wear at Inter Milan during the 2023-24 season.

The 27-year-old has decided that he’ll wear the number 28 shirt for the Nerazzurri.

Pavard is officially an Inter player as of last Wednesday.

The Frenchman completed his move from Bayern Munich.

Now, Pavard is working in training to get up to speed with his teammates so that he can get on the pitch for the Nerazzurri.

Reportedly, Pavard will be part of Inter’s squad for tomorrow evening’s Serie A match against Fiorentina. The Frenchman will not start that match, but he could very well make an appearance from the bench.

And in preparation for his inclusion in the squad, Pavard will have his new number all ready.

Benjamin Pavard Chooses Shirt Number 28 At Inter Milan

Pavard has decided to wear the shirt number 28.

At Bayern, the 27-year-old wore the number five.

Meanwhile, for the French national team, Pavard wears the number two shirt.

However, both of those numbers are currently already taken at Inter. Midfielder Stefano Sensi wears the number five shirt, whilst versatile defender Matteo Darmian wears the number two shirt.

Therefore, Pavard has picked a number that is available.

The Frenchman comes to Inter with high expectations – he is the man who the Nerazzurri have signed to take the place of stalwart defender Milan Skriniar following the Slovakian’s departure to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer over the summer.

Pavard has won the World Cup with France in 2018. The now-Inter defender started in the final of that tournament.

Pavard also won the Bundesliga title in each of his four seasons with Bayern Munich.

The Frenchman also won the Champions League with the Bavarians during the 2019-20 season.

Now, Pavard begins a new adventure wearing the Nerazzurri shirt, with a new number.
