Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram feels that there are no guaranteed or automatic starters in this Nerazzurri team.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN after the Nerazzurri’s 4-0 Serie A win over Fiorentina, as reported by FCInterNews, the Frenchman stressed that the Nerazzurri are strong because they have quality all through their squad.
Against Fiorentina this evening, Inter started with the same starting eleven as in their first two matches of the season.
This could suggest that there is a certain hierarchy in terms of who gets into the lineup.
On the other hand, a big reason for this early consistency has undoubtedly been the fact that Simone Inzaghi has been relying on players he trusts from last season.
Thuram is one new signing who has hit the ground running. The Frenchman has started each of Inter’s three matches in Serie A so far.
The same is true of goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
But on the other hand, the likes of Davide Frattesi and Benjamin Pavard, among others, will still certainly be expected to have a lot more to contribute as the season wears on.
In the view of striker Thuram, there is little question of automatic starters in this Inter team.
He believes that everyone is of sufficient quality to start matches.
