Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has received significant praise for guiding his team to a 4-0 Serie A win over Fiorentina.

Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, awarded the coach a score of 8/10 in the player ratings for the match.

So far this season, Inzaghi has had Inter off to exactly the start that he’ll have hoped for.

The Nerazzurri have not only won three matches out of three in Serie A. They’ve also done so in impressive style.

Inter’s victories over Monza and Cagliari did much to suggest that Inzaghi would focus on continuity from last season. The Nerazzurri had ended last campaign in strong fashion. Normal service resumed at the start of this one.

However, Tuttosport note, against Fiorentina there seemed to be something even more.

Inter were ferocious in winning the ball back. Moreover, Inzaghi’s players showed the kind of organization they needed to in order to get the ball forward quickly and incisively.

Tuttosport argue that Inzaghi has already found the right balance to his team.

He is getting the best out of his strikers early on.

Captain Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram have looked to form a real understanding.

Against the Fiorentina backline, the pair’s movement and interchanging proved impossible to handle.

In truth, Inter and particularly Thuram could have scored more goals than those that they did.

Inzaghi gets credit for this, whilst Tuttosport also gives both Martinez and Thuram the same score as their coach – 8/10.

Meanwhile, Inter also kept their third clean sheet of the season.

A lot of this is down to the organization of the team as a whole. But in the view of Tuttosport, there was one Inter defender in particular who was outstanding.

The newspaper award Alessandro Bastoni with a grade of 7.5/10 for keeping Nico Gonzalez, La Viola’s main threat, very quiet.
