Midfielder Stefano Sensi will miss out on the Inter Milan squad list for the Champions League group stage.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will leave the 28-year-old out of their European squad list, whilst another midfielder could also miss out in the form of either Davy Klaassen or Kristjan Asllani.

Inter will have some decisions to make as far as their 25-player squad list for the Champions League group stage.

Particularly in midfield, the Nerazzurri have a large squad. Therefore, there have been suggestions that some players could miss out.

Particularly if Inter are to aim to give some youth team players an opportunity in the competition, they will have to leave out one or two players.

And according to FCIN, one player who will make way will be Sensi.

Stefano Sensi To Miss Out On Inter Milan Champions League Squad List

According to FCIN, Inter have already decided to leave Sensi out of the squad list for the Champions League.

The 28-year-old stayed at the Nerazzurri this summer despite transfer links away.

Sensi had spent last season on loan with Monza. But the Brianzoli declined to exercise a purchase option that they had on the former Sassuolo midfielder.

Therefore, Inter have been considering Sensi’s future.

Whilst some clubs did show an interest in the Italy international. no concrete offers arrived.

Moreover, the collapse of Inter’s move for Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic meant that the Nerazzurri needed additional midfield depth.

Keeping Sensi around is one way that they have accomplished this. The other was the deadline day signing of midfielder Klaassen from Ajax.

But whilst Sensi will play a part in Serie A, he will not have a role in Europe. At least not until the knockouts, potentially.

Meanwhile, FCIN report, Klaassen and Asllani are also at risk of missing out.

Inter begin their Champions League group stage away to Real Sociedad on September 20.
