Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is ready to start rotating his squad as the Champions League gets added to the fixture list.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

So far this season, Inzaghi has gone with the same starting eleven in each of Inter’s three Serie A matches.

Against all of Monza, Cagliari, and Fiorentina, the Nerazzurri had ample preparation time between matches. Therefore, Inzaghi saw little need to make big changes.

The coach trusted what he saw as his most functional eleven to get the crucial early results.

But that was with the luxury of a week between matches.

That isn’t a luxury that Inter or Inzaghi will have much longer.

Simone Inzaghi Ready To Start Rotating Inter Milan Squad For Champions League

Inzaghi will certainly aim to put his strongest team out to face AC Milan in the derby this weekend.

That could mean the exact same team as he’s started in each Serie A match so far. If not, the Inter coach will only make minor alterations.

But after that, Inzaghi will have to start thinking about managing the minutes of his players.

Inter will be in action virtually right away after the derby, with their Champions League group stage opener against Real Sociedad.

It’s hardly likely that Inzaghi will start the same lineup against La Real as against the Rossoneri. Already, the coach will start thinking about using the squad he has at his disposal.

Last season, Inzaghi tended to completely change his attack between league and Champions League matches towards the end of the season.

Romelu Lukaku and Joaquin Correa would start the domestic matches. And then Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez would play in Europe.

With only Martinez remaining from last season, it remains to be seen how Inzaghi works out his attack from match to match.

All over the pitch, the coach has new players to work with.

But what there’s no doubt about is that Inzaghi has a very deep squad.

So far, new signings like Davide Frattesi, Marko Arnautovic, Juan Cuadrado, and Carlos Augusto have enjoyed cameo appearances. But it won’t be long before they start getting their chance in the starting eleven.

And the likes of Benjamin Pavard and Davy Klaassen should also slot in very soon too.
