Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani is happy with how the Albania national team are playing under coach Sylvinho.

Speaking after Albania beat Poland 2-0 in a EURO 2024 qualifier yesterday, via FCInterNews, the 21-year-old praised the impact that the Brazilian coach has had on the national team’s direction.

Asllani and Albania got a massive result yesterday by beating Poland.

Playing at home, the Eagles secured a 2-0 win in order to go top of their EURO 2024 qualifying group.

And young Inter midfielder Asllani started the match, playing seventy minutes in total.

This was a big boost in confidence for the Nerazzurri midfielder.

Since joining Inter last summer, Asllani has not found playing time very easy to come by. He has largely had a backup role, and has been something of an understudy to the likes of Hakan Calhanoglu and Marcelo Brozovic.

But against Poland yesterday, Asllani showed the contribution that he can make.

Kristjan Asllani Happy With Impact Of Albania Coach Sylvinho

The arrivals of new midfielders like Davide Frattesi and Davy Klaassen at Inter this summer suggests that even after the departure of Brozovic, Asllani will still have to fight for his place.

However, the former Empoli man stayed at Inter this summer.

Asllani still wants to do everything that he can to make an impact in an Inter shirt.

And the 21-year-old’s performance for his country yesterday suggests that he is more than capable of it.

For this form, Asllani gives a lot of credit to Albania coach Sylvinho. The former Arsenal and Barcelona defender took charge of his third Albania match yesterday, and guided the team to an important win.

Praising his national team coach, Asllani said that “Under him we’ve become a compact group.”

“We spend a lot of time together, and we often talk even off the pitch.”

“He’s worked hard to strengthen this group, we’re very happy with that,” Asllani said of Sylvinho.

“Tonight we were a team from the first minute to the last.”
