Inter Milan are close to securing footwear company U-Power as their new back shirt sponsor for the season.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri could debut the company’s logo in the upcoming Milan derby.
In recent days, Inter have been on the verge of signing a deal with a new back shirt sponsor.
At the end of last season, Inter entered into a short-term partnership with US-based streaming service Paramount+.
The streaming service was Inter’s main shirt sponsor for just the final two matches of the season.
One was an essentially dead rubber Serie A match against Torino. The other was, much more lucratively of course, the Champions League final.
As part of that agreement, Inter were to keep Paramount+’s logo on their shirts for this season as well.
However, the logo would be moved to the back of the shirt from the front.
The initial agreement was that Paramount+ would replace Lenovo as the back sponsor for Inter’s shirt.
But instead, over the summer, the Nerazzurri entered into a new agreement with Paramount+.
The streaming service has stayed on as Inter’s main shirt sponsor.
This has meant that the Nerazzurri have gone in search of a new back shirt sponsor.
U-Power To Replace Lenovo As Inter Milan Back Shirt Sponsor
And according to the Corriere, Inter are close to securing a new back shirt sponsor.
U-Power are already the main shirt sponsors of Inter’s Lombard rivals Monza.
The footwear company also bought the naming rights to the Brianzoli’s stadium. It is now known as the U-Power Stadium.
And now, Inter will also agree a commercial partnership of their own with U-Power.
The Corriere anticipate that the agreement is very close at hand. And in fact, the U-Power logo could already be on the back of Inter’s shirts for Saturday’s derby clash with AC Milan.
