Inter Milan defender Stefan de Vrij and wingback Denzel Dumfries are both back in training after finishing up international duty with the Netherlands.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

The end of the September international break is now approaching.

Last week, the only players at the disposal of Inter coach Simone Inzaghi were those players who had not been called up to their national sides for the break.

However, the players are starting to filter back into training.

Yesterday, midfielder Kristjan Asllani returned to Nerazzurri training after finishing up international duty with Albania.

And today, two more internationals have followed the Albanian back to training with Inzaghi and the Inter squad.

Inter Milan Duo Stefan De Vrij & Denzel Dumfries Back In Training

The Dutch national team played their final match of the international break on Sunday.

The Oranje beat Ireland 2-1 in their second EURO 2024 qualifier of the break.

Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries played a key role in that victory. The 27-year-old won the penalty from which the Netherlands scored their equalizing goal, and then won the penalty that ultimately won them the match.

Dumfries had also been a vital player in the Netherlands’ previous win during the break.

The Inter wingback assisted all three goals in a 3-0 EURO 2024 qualifying win over Greece last week.

De Vrij, on the other hand, did not feature against Ireland.

The 31-year-old had played against Greece, off the bench.

Now, both Dumfries and de Vrij are back in training.

Considering both of the Dutch duo are players who have been in the starting eleven for every one of Inter’s three Serie A matches so far this season, Nerazzurri coach Inzaghi will certainly be happy to have both back at his disposal.

Inzaghi and Inter have just a few more days to prepare for the derby against AC Milan next weekend.
