Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi received a nomination for the FIFA Best Coach Award for 2023.

The 47-year-old led the Nerazzurri to the Champions League final last season. His team fell just short in the grand finale against Manchester City, losing 0-1 after wasting a flurry of chances.

On Thursday, FIFA released the full nominations for their yearly awards. The organizers acknowledged Inzaghi’s work at Inter by nominating him for the Best Coach award, reports FcInterNews.

The Italian manager lands on a five-man list that includes his compatriot Luciano Spalletti. The experienced manager won a historic Scudetto title with Napoli before taking charge of the Italian national team.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola inevitably received a nomination after winning the treble last season. Barcelona coach Xavi and Tottenham Hotspur’s Ange Postecoglou complete the list.

Moreover, two former Inter Milan stars earned recognition for their exploits at the club last season.
