Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to start Francesco Acerbi in defense and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in midfielder in this evening’s Serie A derby against AC Milan at the San Siro, with kickoff scheduled for 18.00 CET.

This evening, Inzaghi has made just one team to Inter’s starting eleven compared to their first three Serie A matches.

Firstly, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has once again chosen to start with only two new summer signings. These are Marcus Thuram and goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

However, big name arrivals like Davide Frattesi and Juan Cuadrado have to settle for a place on the bench once again.

Frattesi shone for Italy during the international break, but former Roma and Arsenal veteran Henrikh Mkhitaryan keeps his place in midfield.

Secondly, Denzel Dumfries and Federico Dimarco play on the wings. They keep their starting places from the first three matches.

Thirdly, in defence it’s Matteo Darmian and Alessandro Bastoni starting on either side of Italian international Francesco Acerbi.

Acerbi is the lone change to the starting eleven that beat Monza, Cagliari, and Fiorentina

With the 35-year-old now fit, he replaces Stefan de Vrij in the lineup. And Benjamin Pavard is once again on the bench. The Frenchman joined from Bayern Munich last month, but has yet to make his debut.

Meanwhile, Inter’s deadline day signing Davy Klaassen is another player with a place on the bench like Pavard.

Lautaro Martinez & Marcus Thuram Lead The Line Once Again

Fourthly, in midfield, Mkhitaryan plays alongside Turkish international Hakan Calhanoglu and ex-Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella.

Subsequently, up front, Argentina international forward Lautaro Martinez starts. Playing alongside the Argentine is French international Marcus Thuram.

Therefore, new signings like Frattesi, Cuadrado, Carlos Augusto, Yann Bisseck, and Marko Arnautovic all start on the bench for the fourth time.

In conclusion, this is largely the same eleven which started against both Monza and Cagliari. But Acerbi is fit for the first time this season, and has gone straight into the lineup.
