The Perfect Inter Milan Birthday Cake Ahead Of Milan Derby

What is the best way to celebrate your birthday if you are a fan of Inter Milan? Well, ideally by watching Inter win the Milan Derby whilst eating a delicious birthday cake!

For one fanatical Inter fan, one of these two things will play out.

Life-long Inter supporter Giuseppe from Bedford, England, celebrates his 60th birthday ahead of the Milan Derby on Saturday.

Bedford’s iconic Italian cake shop La Rondine, which is owned by the father of Italian Football Podcast co-host Carlo Garganese, made a special Inter-themed birthday cake for Giuseppe.

La Rondine sculpted traditional Italian sponge filled with Italian patisserie cream into the shape of a football shirt before then adding the Nerazzurri colours with handmade sugar icing.

Handmade sugar icing items were also constructed and added onto the shirt such as the Inter and Nike logos, the Pirelli name and the Italy flag.

Buon Compleanno Giuseppe, which means ‘Happy birthday Giuseppe, was written on the cake board.
