Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi insists he isn’t someone who would cause problems due to the lack of playing time.

The 23-year-old joined the Nerazzurri in the summer after completing a transfer from Sassuolo worth around 30 million euros.

The Italian international is yet to earn his first start at his new club. However, he’s been delivering the goods when coming off the bench.

In last weekend’s Derby della Madonnina, Frattesi joined the scoring carnival, bagging his side’s fifth goal in the 5-1 routing against AC Milan.

Yesterday, he replaced the disappointing Kristijan Asllani in the second half of the Champions League encounter against Real Sociedad. He produced an exquisite assist that allowed Lautaro Martinez to snatch the equalizer and bring a point back home.

Frattesi feels it was an important result for the Nerazzurri who managed to avoid their first defeat of the season.

“Returning home with a point was fundamental. Starting the campaign with a defeat wouldn’t have been ideal,” said the former Sassuolo man in his post-match interview with Mediaset via FcInterNews

“We did well to stay in the game, thanks to Yann Sommer who made great saves. We were also lucky.

“Then, we improved in the second half, scoring an equalizer, even if, in the end, we could have even made it 2-1.”

“We can’t always start from 1-0 or 2-0 like we did in Serie A. Sometimes, we could find ourselves trailing. The important thing is to stay in the match.”

Inter Milan Midfielder Davide Frattesi Says He Would Never Cause Any Controversy When The Coach Decides To Bench Him

Frattesi also explained that he’d never make a fuss when his coach Simone Inzaghi doesn’t play him enough.

“It’s not a problem for me. Everyone knows it, including the coach. I’m not someone who creates a mess if he doesn’t play.

“When I’m given the opportunity, I’ll give my all, whether from the start or when coming off the bench.”
