Inter Milan goalkeeper Yann Sommer insists that all top clubs can endure difficult nights following his side’s draw against Real Sociedad.

The Spaniards hosted the Nerazzurri at the San Sebastian Stadium on Wednesday night in the first matchday of the Champions League group stage.

The home side took an early lead through Brais Mendez. They also threatened to add more to their lead, but couldn’t pounce on their numerous opportunities.

In the end, Inter clung back to the match, snatching a point thanks to an equalizer from Lautaro Martinez.

However, Italian media considered Yann Sommer as the ultimate Man of the Match. The Switzerland produced a string of impressive saves to keep his team in the encounter.

After the clash, the former Bayern Munich man admitted it was a difficult one for the Nerazzurri. However, he feels his side should be satisfied with the final outcome.

“It was a tough match, we played badly in the first half,” said the Swiss in his post-match interview with UEFA.com via FcInterNews.

“We made some mistakes against a team that took advantage of the great pressing they applied. At the end of the day, we can be very happy with the point we gained.”
