Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi could give the nod to Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Thuram against Empoli.

The 47-year-old opted to rotate his starting formation in the Champions League encounter against Real Sociedad on Wednesday. The San Sebastian Stadium encounter ended 1-1.

The tactician made five changes to the lineup that destroyed AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina last weekend.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, Inzaghi could ring the changes once again ahead of Sunday’s early Serie A kickoff in Empoli.

The league leaders will take on the struggling Tuscans who currently reside at the very bottom of the table. They’re yet to register a single point nor score a point.

Therefore, this could be the opportunity for Inzaghi to give Sanchez his full debut.

The 34-year-old enjoyed a positive cameo against Real Sociedad, adding a missing flair to the side.

The Chilean could start from the get-go alongside Marcus Thuram who also entered in the second half against the Spaniards. Thus, club captain Lautaro Martinez could start on the bench for the first time this season.

In the middle of the park, Hakan Calhanoglu could shake off all injury concerns and reclaim his starting berth. Davide Frattesi could also get his first start at the club, replacing Nicolo Barella.

Denzel Dumfries could sit on the bench, with Matteo Darmian playing as a wingback. Thus, Benjamin Pavard could maintain his role at the back, alongside Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi who would replace Alessandro Bastoni.

Inter Milan Probable XI (3-5-2): Summer; Pavard, De Vrij, Acerbi; Darmian, Frattesi, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Thuram, Sanchez.
