Ex Lazio Goalkeeper Luca Marchegiani: ‘Inter Milan Are Firing On All Cylinders, They Have No Problems’

Former Lazio and Torino goalkeeper Luca Marchegiani feels that this current Inter Milan team have essentially no real faults.

Marchegiani spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, arguing that the Nerazzurri are “firing on all cylinders.”

Inter could not have hoped for a start to the Serie A season much better than the one they’ve had.

The Nerazzurri have scored fourteen goals and conceded just a solitary effort across the first five matches of the campaign. This has been good value for a perfect start to the season.

Five wins from five have given Inter an early advantage in the Serie A table.

AC Milan are three points behind the Nerazzurri after a 5-1 derby thrashing. And then Juventus are five points back, and champions Napoli already eight points adrift.

It’s early on in the season still, but the sense is that Inter are the pace-setters in Serie A.

And there is hardly been any good fortune in this start. The perfect points total has been a reflection of the team’s performances, looking as though they have reached something close to the highest level of their coach Simone Inzaghi’s approach and style of play.

Marchegiani: Inter Milan “Firing On All Cylinders”

Marchegiani gave the view that “Apart from my opinion on their squad, which in my view is better than all the other teams, Inter are currently just firing on all cylinders.”

He continued that “They don’t currently seem to have any kinds of problems.”

“And then the statistics are very clear,” Marchegiani said.

“In their first five matches of the season, Inter have absolutely dominated all of them,” he said.

So far this season, Inter have beaten Monza at home, Cagliari away, Fiorentina at home, AC Milan in the derby, and Empoli away.

The Nerazzurri’s next match is against Sassuolo at the San Siro.
