Midfielder Nicolo Barella and Denzel Dumfries will be back in the Inter Milan starting eleven for Wednesday’s Serie A match against Sassuolo.

This according to Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908, who also report that Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alessandro Bastoni could both get a rest.

Inter only played their last match in Serie A yesterday afternoon.

However, the Nerazzurri will be back in action straightaway.

Two days from now, Inter will face off against Sassuolo at the San Siro.

After a start which saw the team getting a full week to rest and recuperate between matches, the reality of playing every three days or so is now setting in for the Nerazzurri.

And part of that reality means rotating the team. Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has changed up the team for their last couple matches.

The coach handed full debuts to several players against Real Sociedad in the Champions League.

Then yesterday against Empoli, the coach gave a couple key starters a rest. But both will be back in action from the first minute against Sassuolo.

Barella & Dumfries To Start For Inter Vs Sassuolo

Nicolo Barella will be the first player to get back into Inter’s lineup against the Neroverdi.

The 26-year-old had come off the bench yesterday at the Stadio Carlo Castellani. But tomorrow, he will play from the first minute.

It will be Henrikh Mkhitaryan who will make way for Barella.

That means that Davide Frattesi will keep his place. The two Italian internationals could prove Inzaghi’s assertion that they’re capable of playing together.

Meanwhile, Dumfries will replace Matteo Darmian on the right flank.

In defense, Stefan de Vrij will start, and so will Benjamin Pavard once against.

And according to Sky, Francesco Acerbi could also start, but on the left, which would allow Alessandro Bastoni to have a rest.

Lastly, Sky expects, either Federico Dimarco or Carlos Augusto could potentially start on the left for Inter.
