Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries got on the scoresheet in yesterday evening’s 2-1 loss against Sassuolo.

It was only a consolation goal for the Nerazzurri. But for Dumfries personally, it was a significant one.

The Dutchman has gotten off to a flying start to the season. This was his second goal, having also scored against Cagliari.

As football stats account Opta pointed out in a tweet, this marks an important milestone for Dumfries. He has also assisted a goal already, Lautaro Martinez’s opener in the first match of the season against Monza.
