Wingback Carlos Augusto feels happy with how he is fitting in at Inter Milan since his summer move from Monza.

Speaking to InterTV, via FCInterNews, the 24-year-old also gave his thoughts ahead of this evening’s Serie A match against Salernitana.

Augusto joined Inter during the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian was essentially a like-for-like replacement for Robin Gosens at the Nerazzurri.

Augusto came with a big reputation. The 24-year-old was outstanding for Monza last season, scoring six and five to give the Brianzoli a huge hand in staying in Serie A in their first ever season in the top flight.

But the level will undeniably be different at Inter.

Moreover, Augusto has the competition of Federico Dimarco for a spot on the left.

Dimarco is continuing his outstanding form from last season at the start of the current campaign.

But Augusto is also getting his chances to shine. And for his part, the 24-year-old feels that it is the right atmosphere for him to be at his best.

Carlos Augusto Happy With How He’s Fitting In At Inter Milan

“I’m really happy with how things are going here,” Augusto said of how he’s finding life at Inter.

“My teammates and the staff are helping me to fit in,” he continued.

“It’s easy to fit in here.”

The Brazilian also noted that “I hope to do well today.”

As far as Inter’s form, Augusto said that “We suffered a bad loss on Wednesday.”

“We’d done well but the result wasn’t what we wanted,” the Nerazzurri wingback continued. “And today we have to approach the match well to win it.”

“Then we’ll start thinking about the other matches.”

And as far as what he expects from Salernitana this evening, Augusto said that “We know that they’re a team who are struggling.”

“But it will be a full stadium, and they’ll give us a tough match. We’ll need to approach the match well to win.”
