Inter Milan wingback Carlos Augusto has earned praise for his performance in yesterday evening’s Serie A win over Salernitana.
As L’Interista highlight, the Brazilian got positive scores in the player ratings for the match across Italian media. Of particular note were his defensive workrate and the assist that he delivered at the end.
Augusto got his first start for Inter in Serie A yesterday, and his second in all competitions.
The 24-year-old lined up on the left, as Federico Dimarco got a chance to catch his breath on the bench.
And Augusto proved to be a more than reliable deputy for Dimarco.
The former Monza wingback, who joined Inter from the Brianzoli in the summer, had a strong first half. In fact, across Italian media Augusto was named as the best-performing Inter player before the halftime whistle.

The former Monza wingback showed his impressive athleticism and stamina to keep running up and down the left side of the pitch.
