Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi is aiming to be fit for the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Bologna next weekend.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Frattesi was not able to make an appearance for Inter in Saturday evening’s 4-0 Serie A win over Salernitana.

The 24-year-old was out with a thigh problem. He was one of four Inter players absent, along with striker Marko Arnautovic, midfielder Stefano Sensi, and wingback Juan Cuadrado.

The problem for Frattesi is a muscle strain.

The Italian international has picked up a slight strain to the thigh flexor muscles in his right leg.

It is not an overly serious problem. The sense is that Frattesi should be able to return within a few days.

But naturally, Inter and Frattesi will not want to be taking any risks as far as fitness.

Therefore, there is no chance of the 24-year-old being in the squad for tomorrow evening’s Champions League clash.

But the wait for Frattesi to return may not go on much longer than that.

Inter Midfielder Davide Frattesi Could Be Back For Serie A Clash Vs Bologna

Inter have next to no time in which to rest and recuperate for tomorrow’s match, having only just played on the weekend.

Therefore, Frattesi will not have a window in which to recover for the Champions League group stage clash.

But the timeline is more favourable in terms of next weekend’s match against Bologna.

Frattesi will have until Saturday to regain his fitness.

And according to the Gazzetta, things look fairly positive in that regard.

The Italian international’s injury is not serious and he is close to regaining fitness.

Therefore, Frattesi is likely to return against Bologna. That will be Inter’s final match before team disperses for the October international break.
