Former Inter Milan and AC Milan striker Giampaolo Pazzini feels that Alexis Sanchez needed to time his run better on his disallowed goal against Bologna.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN after the 2-2 Serie A draw, via FCInterNews, Pazzini commented on the Chilean’s offside goal which looked as though it had given Inter the lead again.
Sanchez had thought he’d scored in the second half of this afternoon’s 2-2 draw against Bologna.
The 34-year-old got on the end of a Carlos Augusto cross, slotting it into the net from just a couple of yards out.
He and Lautaro Martinez were both running to attack the cross. But the delivery travelled past Martinez and straight to the feet of former Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona forward Sanchez.
This would certainly have been a vital goal for Inter. The Nerazzurri were chasing a goal to regain their advantage after having squandered a 2-0 lead earlier in the match.
But Inter’s celebrations were all too brief.
The fourth official quickly put his flag up to indicate that Sanchez had been in an offside position. And replays showed that this was the correct decision.

In the view of former striker Pazzini, however, there was a bit of a lack of patience on the part of Sanchez.
The former Nerazzurri, Milan, and Fiorentina striker feels that the Chilean could well have stayed onside.
However, Sanchez looked a little hasty to meet the delivery, in the view of Pazzini.
“Sanchez needed to be more patient,” he argued.
“He was in a rush to get to the penalty area because it was clear that the ball would arrive there.”
He also said of Inter as a whole that “In the second half they showed less quality as they searched for a goal.”
“Bologna on the other hand look very clear and calm as they looked for an equalizer,” he added.
