Inter Milan wingback Carlos Augusto feels that he is always ready when his time to plays come, and is fine with the squad rotation.

The Brazilian spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, after this afternoon’s Serie A draw against Bologna.

Augusto has not usurped Federico Dimarco as the main starter on Inter’s left flank this season.

However, this has not meant that the 24-year-old has lacked playing time since his summer move from Monza.

On the contrary, Augusto has already made two starts for the Nerazzurri. Moreover, the Brazilian has also regularly appeared as a substitute.

It was from the bench that Augusto played this afternoon against Bologna.

The 24-year-old and his teammates were disappointed as they could not score a goal to restore their advantage and the match finished 2-2.

However, it was a strong individual display from Augusto.

The 24-year-old has had the chances to find form and momentum. And for his part, Augusto trusts Inter coach Simone Inzaghi to make the right decisions.

Inter Wingback Carlos Augusto: Always Ready When Called On

Augusto said of the squad rotation that “The coach knows what he’s doing.”

“Everyone has to be ready when called on,” the Brazilian added. “And we always are, whether it’s from the start or as a substitute.”

“Clearly when you play less it’s harder to get big statistics, but whoever plays is always ready.”

As far as the disappointing draw against Benfica, Augusto said that “We have to be more clear-headed and kill off results.”

“We can’t draw a match like this,” he continued. “We’re Inter.”

“The fixture list is tough because we play every three days. But we’re prepared and I don’t think that tiredness was the problem today.”

As far as his call-up for the Brazilian national team, Augusto said that “It’s a wonderful surprise.”

“I called my parents,” he added.
