Inter Milan are reportedly still interested in the services of Brazilian goalkeeper Bento. The Italians could make their move in the next few months.

The 24-year-old was amongst the many names that landed on the shortlist of Nerazzurri directors Giuseppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio.

Following the departures of Andre Onana and Samir Handanovic, the club had to revamp the goalkeeping department. In the end, Yann Sommer arrived as first-choice goalkeeper and Emil Audero is acting as his understudy.

But according to Il Corriere dello Sport via FcInterNews, the Beneamata are still keeping tabs on Bento.

The Brazilian is a youth product of Athletico Paranaense. He rose through the club’s ranks to become the first-choice goalkeeper in the first team.

As the source explains, Inter could make their move as early as December with a view of bringing the custodian to Appiano Gentile in the summer. Alternatively, they could postpone the onslaught till the spring.

The Serie A giants appear keen on poaching the Brazilian and pairing him with Sommer next season. He would initially serve as a backup for the Swiss before eventually replacing his older colleague.

Inter Milan Are Keen To Sign Athletico Paranaense Goalkeeper Bento

While Paranaense had rejected all offers in the summer, the prospect of an exit in 2024 appears more likely. The goalkeeper has a contract that ties him to the club until December 2026 and it includes a release clause of 60 million euros.

Bento received a call-up to the Brazilian national team, but an injury prevented him from joining the Selecao.

Nevertheless, Bento has now regained his optimal physical condition and is gunning for another international call-up.
