Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi will start for Italy in tomorrow evening’s EURO 2024 qualifying match against England.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper also report that Nerazzurri defender Francesco Acerbi will start the match.
Italy face a massively important match in their hopes of qualifying for the upcoming Euros tomorrow.
The Azzurri face off against England at Wembley.
At the moment, Italy are level on points with Ukraine in the table for their group. The latter’s victory over North Macedonia during the international break has definitely put the pressure on the Azzurri.
Italy have their game in hand against Ukraine, but it is against group leaders England.
The Three Lions are currently five points ahead of Italy in the group table.
Therefore, a failure to get a result this evening would leave the Azzurri’s qualification for EURO 2024 in a lot of doubt. They could miss out on the tournament despite having won the last edition.
