Young players at Monza, Empoli, and Atalanta are on Inter Milan’s five-player shortlist of young Italian talents they could sign.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper names Andrea Colpani, Marco Carnesecchi, Giorgio Scalvini, Tommaso Baldanzi, and Jacopo Fazzini as players the Nerazzurri are monitoring.

It’s no secret that Inter have made young Italian players a key part of their project.

The likes of Nicolo Barella, Alessandro Bastoni, and Federico Dimarco have grown into key players in recent seasons.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri signed Davide Frattesi during the summer. They invested big in the 24-year-old, in the hopes that his trajectory can be similar to a player like Barella.

And Inter aren’t stopping there.

According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri are continually plotting to bring in more young Italian players to enrich the core of their team.

Colpani, Carnesecchi, Saclvini, Baldanzi, Fazzini: Inter Scouting Young Italian Talents

First there is Monza midfielder Colpani.

The 24-year-old has gotten the current season off to a blazing start. And Tuttosport report that Inter are already looking at him as a potentially perfect option to reinforce their midfield in the near future.

The Nerazzurri are scouting Colpani regularly.

Then there is the question of the goalkeeping position.

Yann Sommer is currently Inter’s Number One, but the Swiss turns 35 this season. And it does not look overly likely that Emil Audero will be his long-term replacement.

Therefore, Tuttosport report, the Nerazzurri are seriously looking at Atalanta keeper Carnesecchi as a possible long-term option between the posts.

Meanwhile, there is another Atalanta player who Inter have never hidden their admiration of.

Young defender Scalvini is a “dream” target for the Nerazzurri to build their defense around.

And then there are two Empoli midfielders who Inter are big fans of.

The Nerazzurri’s interest in Baldanzi is not any great secret, although they would face competition from the other big clubs in Serie A.

But Tuttosport report that Inter are also scouting Baldanzi’s teammate Fazzini.
