Inter Milan will rotate their squad extensively over the fixtures to come following the international break.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who name five players in particular who could get onto the pitch before too long as the Nerazzurri navigate a packed sequence of matches.

Inter are now just a few days of returning to Serie A action from the international break.

The Nerazzurri face off against Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Saturday evening.

And according to the Gazzetta, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi largely intends to just send out his strongest possible starting eleven in that match.

The one major question concerns the fitness of captain Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentine will be back very late from international duty. Therefore, there are questions about whether he can shake off fatigue and jet lag.

But otherwise, the Gazzetta anticipate, Inzaghi is not going to overthink the rotation.

But after Saturday’s trip to Turin, that will change.

Inter To Rotate Squad Extensively Against Salzburg, Roma

According to the Gazzetta, there will already be big changes to come in Inter’s Champions League group stage match against Red Bull Salzburg next week.

The newspaper predict that five players in particular are major candidates to start that match.

Stefan de Vrij, Carlos Augusto, Davide Frattesi, Alexis Sanchez, and Matteo Darmian could all start.

Then, the following weekend Inter face Roma in Serie A.

The Gazzetta report that that match will probably see the “strongest” lineup return.

Moreover, given that Inter don’t have a midweek fixture after facing the Giallorossi, that could also influence Inzaghi’s thinking.

After that, Inter face Atalanta in Serie A at the start of November. Another Champions League clash with Salzburg and then a league fixture against Frosinone follow.

What looks certain is that there will be plenty of rotation from match to match during that period.
