Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi expects that a start for Davide Frattesi is possible against Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League.

The coach spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, ahead of tomorrow’s group stage match. He spoke about Frattesi’s availability and also praised striker Marcus Thuram.

There’s little question that Inzaghi will have to make some changes to the team for tomorrow evening’s match.

Inter only just played – they faced Torino on Saturday.

But there is little chance for the team to catch their breath. Therefore, the Nerazzurri coach will hardly be wanting to run the same starting eleven into the ground tomorrow.

One player who did not start against Torino over the weekend was Frattesi.

The former Sassuolo midfielder did come off the bench. He played a little over thirty minutes.

But tomorrow Frattesi could be in the starting lineup.

Inter Coach Inzaghi Gives Frattesi Hint Ahead Of Champions League Clash Vs Salzburg

“We need to get all the help we can from rotating the squad,” Inzaghi said ahead of tomorrow’s match.

“Because we have a lot of players who travelled a lot and played demanding matches during the international break.”

Regarding Frattesi, he said that “He’s very important for us.”

“I still have to evaluate between today and tomorrow,” Inzaghi said.

The Inter coach made clear that “Davide is a great player.”

“But during the last period of matches he missed some time due to an injury. Then he came back and did well, first against England and then against Torino.”

Inzaghi also spoke about Inter’s in-form striker Marcus Thuram.

He called the Frenchman “A player we’ve been following for a long time.”

“His quality is not in any question,” the coach said of Thuram.

“Fitting into the team could have potentially been tricky for him,” he noted.

“But, thanks in part to his teammates, there have been no stumbles in adapting to a new league and country,” Inzaghi said.
