Inter Milan will begin contract extension talks with midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan by the end of the year.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will offer the Armenian a new deal until the end of June 2025.
Over the first couple months of this season, Mkhitaryan has continued to be a key man for Inter.
The Armenian joined the Nerazzurri from Roma on a free transfer last summer. And virtually ever since then, he has been easily one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Mkhitaryan will turn 35 during the current season.
But the former Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United veteran has shown few signs of slowing down.
On the contrary, Mkhitaryan has been in some of his very best form over the last season and change for Inter.
Mkhitaryan’s contract runs out at the end of next June. He is still one the two-year deal that he signed last summer.
But by all accounts, Inter want to extend Mkhitaryan’s contract.

And the Gazzetta report that Inter do not want to waste much time as far as talks with Mkhitaryan and his representatives.
On the contrary, the Nerazzurri are “enthusiastic.” Securing an agreement with Mkhitaryan is a priority.
Therefore, the Gazzetta anticipate, the talks will arrive within the next couple of months.
Inter want to try and put pen to paper on a new deal by Mkhitaryan as soon as possible rather than letting the situation drag on until the end of the season.
And according to the Gazzetta, Inter want to agree a new one-year contract with Mkhitaryan.
The Nerazzurri are reportedly ready to put a new deal until the end of June 2025 on the table.
