Both wingback Juan Cuadrado and defender Danilo are potential injury doubts for the Serie A clash between Juventus and Inter Milan later this month.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter and Juventus meet in Serie A for the first time immediately after the international break.

Both teams face newly-promoted opposition this weekend. The Nerazzurri host Frosinone tomorrow, whilst the Bianconeri are in action at home to Cagliari later this evening.

And regardless of what happens in this weekend’s fixtures, both teams will go in to the break in the top two positions in the league table.

At the moment, Inter are two points ahead of Juventus.

But that is a slender advantage indeed – the Bianconeri could certainly be circling the Derby d’Italia after the break as an opportunity to overtake at the top.

Cuadrado & Danilo Both Injury Doubts For Juventus Vs Inter Clash

Naturally both Inter coach Simone Inzaghi and his Juventus counterpart Max Allegri will be keen to have as many of their players available as possible for the Derby d’Italia clash.

And for both, there is a veteran South American player who could miss out.

For Inter and Inzaghi, it is Cuadrado. The 35-year-old in fact only joined Inter on a free transfer this summer, after eight seasons at Juventus.

Cuadrado has been dealing with tendon problems for a couple of months now.

This has prevented the Colombian from being part of a matchday squad for any of the fixtures since the October break.

And whilst Cuadrado is targeting the match against his old club as a return date, there is no return date.

Meanwhile, Juventus captain Danilo has been dealing with a hamstring problem since last month.

Like Cuadrado, the former Manchester City and Real Madrid man will stay behind and work on his recovery during the break rather than going to be with his national side.

But neither Cuadrado nor Danilo are certain to recover in time for the Derby d’Italia.
