Inter Milan’s match-winning hero Federico Dimarco feels that his goal against Frosinone is one of the best that he’s scored.

The 26-year-old spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews, after this evening’s match.

Dimarco had already scored one spectacular goal this season.

The Italian international scored an excellent long-range volley in an away win against Empoli in September.

That was certainly a demonstration of what Dimarco is capable of. The wingback doesn’t just provide assists and great passes – he can also put the ball in the back of the net.

But DImarco outdid himself with his goal against Frosinone this evening.

The 26-year-old was barely beyond the halfway line when he decided to pull the trigger.

Dimarco spotted Frosinone goalkeeper Stefano Turati off his line, though. And he decided that it was worth a try to go for the most audacious of efforts.

Dimarco floated the ball straight over the head of the Frosinone keeper.

And whilst Turati did all he could to backtrack and keep the shot out, he was not able to get back in time before the ball sailed under the crossbar to open the scoring for Inter.

That proved to be a very important goal in the context of the match.

It had not been an easy first half for the Nerazzurri. But Dimarco’s goal broke the deadlock, and gave the team confidence that it was to be their night.

Federico Dimarco Reacts To Wondergoal Vs Frosinone

Dimarco noted that “First I saw Dumfries running. Then I saw Turati off his line.”

“Thank god it went in,” he went on. “Otherwise I would have been in for all sorts of insults.”

Asked if it was the best goal that he’ scored, Dimarco replied that it was “One of the most beautiful, for sure.”

“I didn’t get off to the best of starts,” he said.

“But the important think was to win, and we did. So I’m glad.”

As far as the title race against Juventus, Dimarco said that “It’s a long season.”

“First we go away for the international break, and then when we’re back we can think about Juventus.”

“We’re a good group,” he said. “And a strong team. We can interchange well.”

“Now we have to work hard to achieve our goals,” he added.
