Inter Come Up Against “Juventus Jr.” Frosinone
Juventus have no lack of young talents on their books.
And the Turin giants have very much pursued a strategy of developing these players with loan spells.
Frosinone took full advantage of this during the summer. The Bianconeri sent three players out on loan to the Giallazzurri in order to get regular Serie A experience.
In the case of young Brazilian striker Kaio Jorge, the Brazilian hasn’t seen much of the pitch.
But two other Juventus youngsters have been key players for Frosinone so far this season.
Winger Matias Soule has arguably been the Giallazzurri’s star man.
The Argentine has scored five goals and assisted an additional one already this season. This makes him Frosinone’s top scorer.
Soule is a left-footer who likes to cut in from the right, not totally dissimilar in profile to greats like Arjen Robben or Mohamed Salah.
Inter have had mixed luck against players like that.
Domenico Berardi wreaked havoc to guide Sassuolo to a comeback win over the Nerazzurri at the San Siro.
Bologna’s Riccardo Orsolini got some joy, although Inter ultimately kept the Italian quiet.
And Fiorentina’s Nico Gonzalez proved to be a damp squib at the San Siro.
Soule will be hoping he can follow more in the footsteps of Berardi on his visit to the stadium.
And just as important to Eusebio Di Francescio’s team despite the lack of a goal or assist is midfielder Enzo Barrenechea.
The 22-year-old has arguably been the most important player in Frosinone’s engine room so far this season.
And like Soule and Jorge, he will be aiming to show his parent club just how valuable he can be to them, even wearing another team’s shirt.
