Midfielder Nicolo Barella will start for Inter Milan in this evening’s Serie A clash against Frosinone.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews.

Barella was one of a number of regular starters who was not in the Inter lineup against Red Bull Salzburg in Wednesday evening’s Champions League group stage win.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi went with a policy of rotating his squad for that match.

Inter captain Lautaro Martinez was also among the players absent from the starting eleven.

Both Barella and Martinez did come on during the second half of the match, with Inter chasing a goal.

But the former Cagliari midfielder sat out the majority of the match.

Instead, it was Barella’s fellow Italian international Davide Frattesi who started in his place.

The 24-year-old former Sassuolo midfielder formed the starting midfield trio alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Hakan Calhanoglu.

Nicolo Barella To Start For Inter In Serie A Clash Vs Frosinone

According to the Corriere della Sera, however, Barella will be right back into the Inter starting eleven this today.

Inter take on Frosinone. They will be aiming to keep their place at the top of the table with three points, and to make it six wins from six between the October and November international breaks.

And Nerazzurri coach Inzaghi will call on one of his most important players in the form of Barella.

The 26-year-old will start alongside Calhanoglu and Mkhitaryan in midfield, the Gazzetta predicts.

That means that Frattesi will drop out of the starting eleven.

Meanwhile, there should be places on the bench for the likes of Kristjan Asllani, Stefano Sensi, and Davy Klaassen.

So far this season, Barella has made eleven Serie A appearances. He has played in fifteen matches in all competitions.

The 26-year-old Italian international is yet to score his first goal of the season.

However, he has bagged an assist, setting up Martinez against Salernitana.
