Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has received praise for his team selection in yesterday’s Serie A match against Frosinone.

L’Interista highlight the positive reviews that the coach has received in the player ratings for the match across Italian media.

Inter coach Inzaghi’s intentions seemed perfectly clear from the offset in yesterday’s match.

The former Lazio boss went with, more or less, the strongest possible team available to him.

Inzaghi had managed to guide Inter to a victory during the week whilst rotating his team. It was not a straightforward match against Red Bull Salzburg, but the Nerazzurri got the job done in the end.

And with one more match to go before the international break, the coach switched things up to his most trusted players.

The Nerazzurri boss put the likes of Federico Dimarco, Lautaro Martinez, and Nicolo Barella back in the lineup.

And this worked exactly as Inzaghi intended.

Simone Inzaghi Praised For Team Selection In Inter Win Vs Frosinone

Despite facing a team who only just got promoted from Serie B last season, Inter knew they were not going to have everything their own way against Frosinone.

The Giallazzurri have looked a formidable side all season.

And Inzaghi decided to go with his first-choice players all over the pitch.

This meant that whilst the visiting team kept things competitive at the San Siro, they never overran Inter in midfield.

And Inzaghi got some excellent displays from a couple of his key players.

Federico Dimarco was the player who opened the scoring. The wingback showed every bit of his quality by scoring from barely beyond the halfway line.

And then striker Marcus Thuram was the other decisive player.

The Frenchman capped off yet another decisive performance by winning the penalty from which Inter doubled their advantage.

There will be other occasions when Inzaghi will rotate his squad, undoubtedly.

But against Frosinone, the coach picked a very strong team. And in the view of Italian media, he was right to do so.
