Finnish billionair Thomas Zilliacus says he’s already made an offer to buy Inter Milan from Suning.

Speaking to Italian outlet La TV Nerazzurra, via FCInterNews, the businessman also says that he would be happy to be co-owner of the club,

In recent weeks, Finnish businessman Zilliacus has made his interest in buying Inter clear.

Zilliacus is not the only party to have shown an interest in purchasing the Nerazzurri.

But the Finn has been very bold in his claims. He has stated that he is ready to make an offer to current Inter owners Suning.

And now Zilliacus has gone even further.

The billionaire has stated that he has already made the offer to the current Inter owners.

What Zilliacus does not state, however, is what the response has been.

Ultimately, Suning would obviously have to accept an offer for it to have much effect.

But the Finn has also stated that he would be willing to become co-owner of the club.

And this could well have an effect on the Inter owners’ response, should they not be keen to give up full control.

Thomas Zilliacus Says He’s Already Made Suning An Offer For Inter

Zilliacus said to La TV Nerazzurra that “I actually presented an offer to [Inter President Steven] Zhang.”

“But I don’t want to talk about it in detail,” he went on.

“Because, I repeat, the details must remain behind the scenes.”

Zilliacus praised the current Inter President. He stated that “Steven joined Inter very young. He showed courage,”

The Finn went on that “He did an excellent job. He deserves congratulations and respect.”

Then Zilliacus noted that “I’m not just interested in being the sole owner of Inter.”

“I’m also fine with being a partner with the current owners, or with a new owner.”

“The important thing is to keep Inter close to my heart, and not to use it as a trophy to show off,” Zilliacus said, “Nor do I want to use the club purely to speculate on it.”

Zilliacus claimed that “I have both the financial strength and the technology to take the club to a higher level, and that’s why I want to buy it.”
