Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries offers reassuring words regarding his physical condition ahead of the Netherlands’ upcoming Euro 2024 qualifier.

The 27-year-old should take the field for the Oranje on Saturday night as they host the Republic of Ireland in the penultimate round of the European qualifiers.

While France have booked their spot in next summer’s finals, the Dutch are looking to finish second in the group and accompany the two-time World Champions.

As we reported earlier today, there have been growing fears at Inter Milan regarding Dumfries’ condition.

The wingback looked tired towards the end of the club’s last mini-cycle.

With Alessandro Bastoni and Benjamin Pavard on the treatment table, the last thing Simone Inzaghi needs is another injury for a key player.

Nevertheless, the former PSV Eindhoven star insists that he’s feeling good while discussing the injury crisis that hit the Netherlands team.

“I feel good and fit,” said the Inter wingback in the pre-match press conference via FcInterNews.

“Obviously, it’s annoying that these guys are out due to injuries. We train hard. Sometimes injuries are a force majeure, but it always gives opportunities to other players.”

Inter Milan Wingback Denzel Dumfries Is About To Celebrate Netherlands Milestone.

The Nerazzurri star will make his 50th appearance for the national team. Thus, he revealed his great pride as he’s about to reach an important milestone.

“This gives you a feeling of great pride. I am honored to have already managed to achieve this goal.”

This season, Dumfries has contributed with two goals and four assists in 14 appearances across all competitions for Inter.
