Italian journalist Michele Criscitiello argues that Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi has been working miracles, especially from a tactical perspective.

The Nerazzurri appointed the 47-year-old as head coach following Antonio Conte’s departure in the summer of 2021.

In his first two seasons at the club, the former Lazio boss missed out on the Scudetto title.

Nevertheless, he lifted the Coppa Italia trophy and the Italian Super Cup on two occasions.

Moreover, he reached the final of the Champions League last season but fell just short despite a valiant showing against Man City.

For his part, Michele Criscitiello feels that Inzaghi is yet to receive the plaudits he deserves for his work at Appiano Gentile.

The Italian journalist lauds the manager for always playing with two strikers upfront.

“When Simone Inzaghi first arrived, it was perceived as the beginning of the end,” said Criscitiello via FcInter1908.

“It seemed he would struggle after Antonio Conte’s exit. But instead, Inzaghi has been working miracles.

“They attacked him, they destroyed him. It’s not easy to work at Inter.

Michele Criscitiello Argues That Simone Inzaghi Has Been Working Miracles At Inter Milan

“Marotta and Ausilio have done great things, out of 20 moves, they can get one or two wrong, like managing the Milan Skriniar case. But it can happen. They had another 18 things right.

“However, Inzaghi’s miracles are never recognized by the press. He took Inter to great levels while playing with two strikers.

“This coach plays in all competitions with two attackers up front. He’s working a miracle and no one is giving him credit.”
