Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram will without any doubt be the starting strike partnership for Inter Milan against Juventus.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

In just a few days’ time, Inter will take on Juventus at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

The Derby d’Italia is always one of the biggest matches of both teams’ season. But this time around there is even more at stakes than just the usual rivalry.

Inter and Juventus are the top two teams in the Serie A table at the moment.

Moreover, just two points separate the two sides at the top, whilst other teams like AC Milan, Napoli, and Atalanta are a few points back.

Therefore, there is the air of a potential title-decider for Sunday’s match.

And this means that both Inter coach Simone Inzaghi and his Juventus counterpart Max Allegri will certainly aim to start their strongest possible elevens this weekend.

For Nerazzurri boss Inzaghi, this means that there are no doubts about who will start in attack.

Lautaro Martinez & Marcus Thuram Will 100% Start Vs Juventus

Barring surprise injuries or fitness problems, Sky report that it is absolutely certain that Martinez and Thuram will be the duo to lead the line for Inter from the first minute on Sunday.

That is not exactly a big surprise. The pair have been the first-choice attacking duo throughout the season so far.

But particularly in the case of Martinez, there are always some doubts about the Argentine’s suitability to start in matches that come right after international breaks.

Martinez typically returns late from international duty.

This is due to the long flight home from South America, as well as typically having his last match with Argentina later than the Europeans in Inter’s squad.

But this time Martinez will get back with plenty of time to prepare for Sunday’s match. The same is true of Thuram.

And veteran former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez returns latest of all. The 34-year-old will only be back on Friday.

Meanwhile, Marko Arnautovic is fully fit again.

The Austrian made his return to action against Frosinone. He came off the bench in Inter’s last Serie A match before the break.

But there is essentially no chance of seeing Arnautovic from the start against Juventus.

It will be Martinez and Thuram leading the line, to the surprise of very few.
