Wingback Juan Cuadrado will be fit enough to be called up for tomorrow evening’s Serie A clash between Juventus and Inter Milan.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

If there was a match that Cuadrado will have circled on his calendar when he joined Inter, it would be tomorrow’s.

The 35-year-old Colombian international made the shock move to the Nerazzurri in the summer. He did so after his contract with Juventus expired.

But former Chelsea, Fiorentina, and Lecce man Cuadrado didn’t just join after a spell in Turin. He had spent eight years as a regular fixture for the Bianconeri.

The sight of such a familiar face from Juventus in an Inter shirt came as a surprise to many.

But evidently circumstances converged so that Inter saw the opportunity to bring in a high-quality Serie A veteran at low-cost, regardless of past associations.

And Cuadrado was happy to make the switch across the Derby d’Italia divide.

Juan Cuadrado To Be Fit For Juventus Vs Inter

Fitness problems have plagued Cuadrado for much of the season.

The 35-year-old former Chelsea, Fiorentina, and Udinese veteran has been dealing with tendon problems.

And these have been serious enough to prevent Cuadrado from playing any of the matches between the October and November international break.

The Colombian spent the break working on his recovery. He was not on international duty during the last couple weeks.

But there had still been some doubt about Cuadrado’s fitness for tomorrow’s match.

The experienced wingback has only just returned to full training.

But according to Sky, the signs look clear.

Cuadrado will be fit enough to be in the squad for tomorrow evening’s match against his old team.

This does not mean that the Colombian will start of course. That should be Denzel Dumfries.

But Cuadrado will be on the bench.
