Former West Ham United and Lazio striker Paolo Di Canio expects that Juventus will give Inter Milan a difficult Serie A title race.

The former striker spoke to Italian broadcaster Radio 24, via FCInterNews.

This past weekend seemed to go a long way towards confirming the status quo at the top of the Serie A table.

Inter beat reigning Italian champions Napoli by an emphatic scoreline of 3-0.

This leaves the Partenopei eleven points adrift, and with big question marks surrounding them. And it allowed Inter to regain their spot at the top of the table from Juventus.

There is no doubt that the Nerazzurri have shown title-winning form early on.

But so have the Bianconeri.

Juventus won their own match during the round of fixtures, away to Monza.

The fact that it took Max Allegri’s men a very dramatic late victory to do so showed the determination that has characterized their season to date – and perhaps a touch of fate on their side.

For his part, former Juventus and West Ham striker Di Canio believes that the Bianconeri can give Inter a very difficult title race at the top.

Di Canio Predicts Juventus Will Give Inter A Tough Title Race

Di Canio anticipated that “Inter and Juventus will fight until the end for the Scudetto.”

“That’s based on the quality that they both have, and the squads available to them.”

“Inter are the team who should win the title,” the former Italian international argued.

“But Juventus will give them a tough time. Even if the Nerazzurri are ahead of the Bianconeri by a good margin in the table.”

And Di Canio also cautioned against making too many early predictions.

“There’s an entire second half of the season left to play,” the former striker noted.

“Milan could also still get back in it.”
