Inter Milan wingback Carlos Augusto and defender Yann Bisseck will start in the back three against Udinese tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will have to decide how he wants to set up his defense tomorrow with limited options at his disposal.

Alessandro Bastoni should be back from injury, but may not be ready to start.

And all of Stefan de Vrij, Benjamin Pavard, and Denzel Dumfries will be absent due to injury.

Therefore, tomorrow’s match will be a test of how Inter’s depth in defense can cope with a number of players out.

And according to the Corriere, Inzaghi is likely to go with Augusto and Bisseck in defense.

Carlos Augusto & Yann Bisseck To Start In Defense For Inter Vs Udinese

One thing that seems perfectly clear is that Francesco Acerbi will start in defense.

The 35-year-old remains fit. And he is certainly a regular starter in the central position of the back three.

But in the other two positions there is more doubt.

On the left, Bastoni being likely unfit to play from the start means that Inzaghi will go with Augusto.

The Brazilian came on early in last Sunday’s win over Napoli.

And despite having been playing out of position, Augusto fared well in the role.

Therefore, the Corriere reports, Inzaghi will once again trust the former Monza player to fill in on the left of the back three. This time from the start of the match rather than as a substitute.

And on the right, Matteo Darmian is looking stretched thin.

With Pavard and Dumfries out, there is need for cover both in defense and at right-wingback.

The Corriere report that Juan Cuadrado isn’t likely to be ready to play more than fifty or so minutes either.

Therefore, Darmian will likely start at wingback.

Accordingly, the Corriere reports, Germany Under-21 international Bisseck should get his first Serie A start.
