Could fixture lists be an advantage for Inter Milan or Juventus in the next few months of the Serie A title race?
In the view of today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, it could be the Bianconeri who face the slightly more straightforward stretch.
There are still four matches to go before even half the season has passed for Inter and Juventus.
But after fifteen matches gone, there is little doubt that the pair have been the two outstanding teams in the Italian top flight.
This has meant that the sense is that the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri are directly fighting for the title.
And for both, the possibility of being on top at the halfway mark would be enticing.
For Inter, the hope will be that they can hold onto their two-point advantage at the top.
If, theoretically, the Nerazzurri were to win their next four matches, they would be guaranteed to be “winter champions.”
On the other hand, for the Bianconeri, there will be a desire to exploit any missteps that may arrive from the league leaders.
Inter & Juventus Fixture Lists Compared In Serie A Title Race
Inter’s next match is a tough one. The Nerazzurri travel to the Italian capital to face last season’s runners-up Lazio.
Meanwhile, Juventus also play away.
The Bianconeri will face Frosinione over the weekend.
Then, Inter will host Lecce in their last match before Christmas.
Juventus, by contrast, will play away from home once again. They’ll face Genoa.
Inter will have a trip to Liguria to face Genoa the following weekend.
And Juventus will have a tough match at home – they’ll host Jose Mourinho’s Roma.
Finally, at the halfway point of the season, the Nerazzurri host Hellas Verona.
And the Bianconeri play away to Salernitana at the start of January.
