Simone Inzaghi has no plans to heavily rotate the Inter Milan starting eleven against Real Sociedad in the Champions League tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter were only just on the pitch two days ago.

The Nerazzurri beat Udinese 4-0 in Serie A on Saturday evening.

But the fixture list has thrown up another match for Inter immediately. Inzaghi’s team will face Real Sociedad in the Champions League group stage just 72 hours after that win over Udinese.

Tomorrow evening’s match is not a match in which either Inter or La Real need a win.

Both teams have already qualified for the Champions League round of sixteen.

But the two sides are level on points in their group. Therefore, tomorrow’s match will essentially be a straight playoff for top spot in the group.

That is no minor objective for the Nerazzurri, or for La Real.

Inzaghi Won’t Significantly Rotate Inter Lineup Vs Real Sociedad

Given the importance of the match, the Gazzetta report that Inzaghi still wants to play a very strong team.

Even with the limited rest since Saturday’s match, the coach isn’t going to be thinking of resting too many players or trying to rotate in view of next weekend’s Serie A match away to Lazio.

Therefore, there will be at most two or three changes, the Gazzetta reports.

One should come in midfield.

Former Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi should certainly start.

The 24-year-old had not played either from the start or as a substitute on Saturday. Therefore, he’ll be fresh, and should give either Nicolo Barella or Henrikh Mkhitaryan the chance to catch their breath on the bench.

And veterans like Alexis Sanchez or Juan Cuadrado could get the chance to start.

But by and large, the Gazzetta report, Inter’s starting eleven tomorrow will look very similar to Saturday’s.
