Benjamin Pavard will reportedly earn a call-up for Inter Milan’s squad that will travel to Rome to take on Lazio.

The 27-year-old has been out of action since sustaining an injury against Atalanta on the 4th of November.

The Frenchman’s absence left Simone Inzaghi short of options at the back, especially with Matteo Darmian having to deputize in the wingback role.

But according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, Pavard has now shaken off his injury and is ready to take the field.

The former Bayern Munich man has been able to train with his teammates normally. Thus, he managed to prove his fitness for Simone Inzaghi’s staff who will now include him in the squad.

The Nerazzurri will travel to the Italian capital today. On Sunday night, they will lock horns with the Biancocelesti in the most anticipated clash of the Serie A weekend.

Inter will be looking to open up a gap with their closest Scudetto chasers Juventus who dropped points in a 1-1 draw against Genoa on Friday.

But while the source expects Pavard to earn a call-up, he’s unlikely to play from the start of the match.

The 2018 World Cup hero will either remain on the bench or feature as a second-half substitute.

The France international has quickly cemented himself as a regular feature in Inzaghi’s formation following his summer switch to Inter.

The versatile defender made six Serie A appearances and three in the Champions League before succumbing to injury last month.
