Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi will deploy Matteo Darmian on the right flank against Lazio with Yann Bisseck slotting in defense.

The Nerazzurri travel to Rome in the hopes of expanding their lead on top of the Serie A table.

Inter’s closest chasers Juventus dropped points in a 1-1 draw against Genoa on Friday night. Therefore, Inzaghi’s men can open up a four-point gap with a win at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

However, the Inter manager is facing a selection headache on his return to the Italian capital.

The Serie A leaders are without their two main options for the right wingback slots. Denzel Dumfries is out for another couple of weeks while Juan Cuadrado must undergo surgery to fix an Achilles tendon issue that has been hindering his campaign.

According to Sky Sport via FcInterNews, Matteo Darmian will once again fill in on the right flank.

The experienced Italy international is originally a wingback but has been serving as a centre-back since last season.

But with Cuadrado and Dumfries both unavailable, Inzaghi has no choice but to rely on Darmian in a more advanced position.

Thus, Bisseck will get the chance to join Alessandro Bastoni and Francesco Acerbi at the back. With Stefan de Vrij out with an injury and Benjamin Pavard still not fit to start, the young German must rise to the occasion.

Elsewhere on the pitch, the midfield will comprise Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Federico Dimarco should get the nod on the left. Lautaro Martinez will spearhead the formation alongside Marcus Thuram.
