Inter Milan are reportedly contemplating a January move for up-and-coming Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley.

The 23-year-old has been one of the revelations of the campaign with his impressive displays for the Glasgow-based giants.

The Fulham youth product has thus far scored nine goals and provided his teammates with eight assists in 24 matches across all competitions.

According to Sky Sports UK, O’Riley has attracted the interest of several top clubs around Europe, with Inter emerging as his newest suitor.

The source claims that the likes of Aston Villa, West Ham United, Atletico Madrid and PSV Eindhoven have all sent scouts to monitor the player this season.

Nevertheless, the Nerazzurri could be looking to beat the competition by making their move as early as January.

The Italian giants would propose an initial loan with the obligation to buy the player at the end of the season.

But as the source explains, Celtic would only part ways with O’Riley for a club-record fee. Therefore, they would expect a sum higher than the 25 million pounds that Al-Ittihad splashed to sign Jota in the summer.

The midfielder joined the Scottish side in January 2022 and his contract with the club is valid until the summer of 2027.

As a youngster, O’Riley represented England on the international level, playing for the U16 and U18 squads.

However, he switched his allegiance to Denmark and has recently made his debut for the senior Danish national team.
