Lautaro Martinez was not able to play for Inter Milan against Lecce yesterday due to injury.

The Argentine had picked up a thigh problem against Bologna in the Coppa Italia. This meant that he was unable to be part of the Nerazzurri squad.

Martinez had previously gone more than a year without missing a match for Inter.

This is the case both in terms of injuries as well as suspension.

Football statistics account Opta tweeted that “89 – #Lautaro Martínez had played each of Inter’s previous 89 matches in all competitions, his previous match missed was back on 9th April 2022 (Inter-Verona in Serie A). Absence.”
