Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has sorted out the final details in his lineup ahead of the Lazio clash, with Nicolo Barella and Matteo Darmian now set to start.
The Nerazzurri will lock horns with Maurizio Sarri’s men this evening in Riyadh in the second semi-final of the Italian Super Cup.
Napoli have already booked their spot for Monday’s final after toppling Fiorentina with three unanswered goals yesterday. They now await the winner of tonight’s battle.
Simone Inzaghi will be aiming for his third Super Cup triumph in a row since taking charge of the club. But his defense campaign begins with a meeting against his former employers.
So which players will the 47-year-old entrust in his starting lineup?
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, Inzaghi will field a strong starting XI led by Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.
In the middle of the park, Barella will get the nod over Davide Frattesi.
While some tipped the former Sassuolo man to start this evening, it appears that Inzaghi will maintain his usual starting trio, with Barella lining up alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Hakan Calhanoglu.

The Inter manager also had another selection headache to sort out on the right wing. The Pink newspaper believes that Darmian will occupy the role instead of Denzel Dumfries. Federico Dimarco will start on the opposite flank.
At the back, Francesco Acerbi will operate at the heart of the backline. Benjamin Pavard and Alessandro Bastoni will join him in the three-man defense.
Therefore, Inzaghi will maintain almost the same starting lineup from last weekend’s rampant win over Monza. The only exception is the introduction of Acerbi instead of Stefan de Vrij.
