Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is happy with his team’s Supercoppa Italiana win over Lazio, but looking to the final against Napoli.

The Nerazzurri coach Spoke to InterTV, via FCInterNews, after yesterday’s 3-0 win over the Biancocelesti.

Inter booked their place in the Supercoppa final against Napoli yesterday. And they did so in some style.

Even a scoreline of 3-0 does not fully reflect the Nerazzurri’s dominance, as they created a number of good chances which they did not score.

Meanwhile at the other end, the Biancocelesti created little of note.

It was perhaps enough to give the impression that Inter are the strong favourites to win a competition that they have won in both of the past two seasons.

But finals are played on the pitch and not paper.

So for Inter coach Inzaghi, the important thing is that regardless of yesterday’s performance, tjhe job is far from done.

Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi: Job Isn’t Done After Beating Lazio

As far as whether he is a “specialist” in the Supercoppa, Inzaghi said “Yes.”

“But there’s still a final to play on Monday,” the coach continued.

“We’ll be ready, and we hope that we win it.”

Inzaghi continued that “We’re in good form and we have to continue on this path.”

“We wanted to reach the final at all costs,” he said. “And we got there.”

The coach said of his team’s performance that “Tonight we did very well.”

“The guys had a great match. We put in a great performance and I’m very satisfied.”

Of defender Benjamin Pavard’s display, Inzaghi said that “He had a great match. But none of the guys out there had the wrong attitude today.”

“I complimented him because we were up against a very organized opponent and we needed a great match.”

“I’ll have to revisit this match. But today we played the style we wanted to very well.”
